Volunteers are a crucial part of sport and are an essential element of the development and running of sports clubs and events. Stockport has a proud tradition of volunteering across a wide range of sport, undertaking a variety of roles.
Volunteering
Life Leisure Sport Development run a Volunteering inclusion project (VIP) in sport and are always looking for new people to join the scheme. Opportunities range from club placements in the volunteers chosen sport to multi sport activity camps and a range of community events where a mixture of structured and ad hoc sporting activities are delivered.
The VIP scheme also supports individuals to develop a personal portfolio, where volunteering experience, skills and qualifications can be collated, aiding you in future opportunities and interviews.
