Our gym at Brinnington Park offers a safe and welcoming space to focus on your fitness with a range of equipment available such as cross trainers and cable machines and its very own boxing suite.
Life Leisure offer a fantastic range of group exercise classes catering for all fitness levels and abilities, such as HIIT, Body Pump, Yoga and Spin. Some classes are more intense than others, but each class can be modified for all abilities with adaptations for exercises given where needed.
All classes can be booked up to seven days in advance and we highly recommend doing so where possible to avoid disappointment. Members can book via the Life Leisure app or website.
Our sports hall is available for casual and block bookings for a range of activities such as badminton, basketball, table tennis, pickleball and netball. The quickest and easiest way to book is online or via the Life Leisure app. To book online you must register as a Standard Online Bookings member.

If you and your friends are looking for a somewhere to have a kickabout, our outdoor football pitches are available for casual and block bookings.

We also offer a Life Leisure Kids membership which offers classes that cater for children aged 5–12 years old.

Located on the side of First House in Brinnington, there are three Brinnington maps that showcase the local landmarks, historical sites and walking routes in and around the area. These maps were created by local residents to help guide visitors on what they can see and do around Brinnington.

This funding is part of the Greater Manchester wide Local Pilot (funded through Sport England) to support people and communities to be more active in their lifestyle. We want this to help transform local places and help you to share the importance of being physically active with friends and neighbours. It will also contribute to creating a positive impression of Brinnington for us all. The Community Pot aims to engage with the disengaged, create positive behaviour, cultural change and a social movement, and to simply listen to the community.
This funding pot is available to all adults 25 and older to apply for funding for an event on your street or a regular (weekly or monthly) activity. We want you to be creative and think of different ideas. Ideas of where the money can be spent on things such as: Local events, weekly activity sessions, using green spaces and open spaces – on your street or around your tower blocks – to bring people together to get active or buying equipment for the local community to use.
As long as the project fits the following criteria:
You can place an application for events that will be one-offs with a view to looking at more. They can be allocated for periods of one month to six months depending on the length of the idea you create.
Bids can be made up to £500 and there is no minimum amount. The maximum award amount will be reviewed after six months, to assess if the grants process is fit for purpose. At six months there may be an increase or decrease in the maximum award per application.

Some families or individuals may be eligible for a Leisure Key which is delivered by Stockport Council. This provides discount to swimming and other activities across Life Leisure. In addition, if you are eligible for a Leisure Key Companion/Carer card, you will be able to access the activity for free accompanying an individual to a session. The following steps need to be taken to access this:
