The gym at Life Leisure Hazel Grove, freshly refurbed in 2023, is a space where everyone can unlock their potential.
We have cardio machines with interactive workouts, a performance zone with easy-to-use strength training machines, a squat rack and plenty of free weights.
And that’s not all— it’s also home to R1G Powered by H1VE, a functional training area kitted out rowers, skiers, wall balls, free weights and more. Come and try out one of our R1G classes, or use the space in your own time. The choice is yours.

Life Leisure offer a fantastic range of group exercise classes for all fitness levels and abilities. Some classes are more intense than others, but don’t worry – the coaches are more than happy to provide adaptations if you need it. Go at your own pace.
We recommend booking your favourite classes seven days in advance to avoid missing out!
We are proud to offer swimming lessons at Life Leisure Hazel Grove. The swimming scheme provides our younger generation with the skills and confidence they need when it comes to feeling comfortable in the water.
Come and enjoy our 25m main pool for a relaxing swim, training session or family splash.
Our small pool is perfect for little ones and hosts Baby Splash and Toddler Splash sessions and therapeutic warm water sessions.
You’ll need a padlock to secure your things in a locker. You can bring your own or buy one from reception.
Relax and unwind in our thermal suite at Life Leisure Hazel Grove which incorporates a sauna, steam room and a relaxation area. The perfect place to come to after a workout and is an exclusive facility for HUB Extra members only.
Life Leisure Kids classes cater for children aged 5 – 12 years old and with our specially designed reward scheme encouraging children to make sessions part of their weekly routine.
Our Sensory Garden is open to everyone and buzzing with activities for all ages. From family workshops, and hands-on creative sessions, whether you’re planting, pruning, crafting, or upcycling, there’s always something new to enjoy.
But it’s more than just a garden. Together, we’re making our community cleaner, greener, and stronger. Gardens like this boost wellbeing, attract wildlife, freshen the air, and inspire healthier, happier living. They also spark connections, bringing neighbours together, sharing skills, and building pride in the place we all call home.

Facilities
Some families or individuals may be eligible for a leisure key which is delivered by Stockport Council. This provides discount to swimming and other activities across Life Leisure. In addition, if you are eligible for a leisure key companion/carer card, you will be able to access the activity for free accompanying an individual to a session. The following steps need to be taken to access this:

Good Boost Aqua
Designed for people with long-term health conditions, especially musculoskeletal issues, Good Boost Aqua sessions use a therapeutic exercise app to create personalised water-based workouts. You’ll follow a tailored programme to improve strength, mobility, and confidence, all in a supportive, low-impact environment.

Bump Boost
Stay active and feel your best during pregnancy with our gentle, water-based Bump Boost sessions. Suitable for all fitness levels, these classes help improve strength, flexibility, and wellbeing while supporting your body through every stage of pregnancy. We recommend speaking to your midwife before taking part to make sure it’s right for you.

Teen add-on available on all adult membership packages for £16.00 per month. *Must be parent or guardian of child and only valid for teens aged 13 – 15 years.
