Due to Government Guidelines and today’s announcement all leisure facilities must close on the 20th March 2020. The decision has not been made lightly and has been based on the guidance that has been supplied to us by the Government and PHE.

We will keep our website up to date with all relevant information on the ongoing situation and we would advise that you visit www.lifeleisure.net to stay informed with any developments.

Due to the closures of lifeLEISURE facilities, please note that from April 2020 we will not be collecting any DD payments until we re-open.

We ask that you do not cancel your direct debit and can assure you no payments will be collected until the reopening of our facilities.

During this time, we will be providing alternative ways of exercising at home to help maintain your activity levels, as from tonight we will be working to do all we can to make sure we are able to offer you online content for home workouts with some of our own fantastic instructors which will be coming soon. Please click here to follow these home workouts via our YouTube channel.

We hope that you and your loved ones are all keeping well and active. All of us at lifeLEISURE want to reassure you that we have been carefully planning our approach to reopening, with the safety and well-being of our members and teams at the forefront of our minds.

As a reminder & to reassure you that during the closures of the centres we will not be collecting any direct debit payments for services at lifeLEISURE.

Following a recent survey completed, 80% of respondents stated they are ready to commence exercise at lifeLEISURE. Following on from this we would welcome your feedback to make sure we get the programme right for our customers when we can reopen. Please complete the survey to aid lifeLEISURE with these plans. The survey will close on Friday 29th May.

Whilst we are unable to confirm an official reopening programme until the government provides further guidance, we wanted to share some of the things that we are doing in preparation which include;

  • Working in partnership with Stockport MBC & Barrow Borough Council and the industry body UKActive, to enable planning for a safe approach to reopening our Centres and facilities, which will follow stringent safety guidelines.
  • Ensuring our cleaning measures reach Public Health England guidelines.
  • Providing personal protective equipment (PPE) for our teams and sourcing cleaning materials and hand sanitiser both of which meet, if not exceed, the recommended grades suggested.
  • Implementing clear social distancing guidelines in all areas of our facilities, including our swimming pools.
  • Providing training for all our team members on our new way of operating, ensuring member and team member safety is always our priority.
  • Creating new timetables, including outdoor classes & scheduling all classes to ensure social distancing, with cleaning schedules between each class.
  • Working on options to increase gym areas wherever space allows, extending facilities and allowing additional spacing of equipment.
