Life Leisure Kids classes are all about getting active, having fun, and loving movement! We give children the chance to enjoy sport and exercise in a friendly, inclusive environment while building healthy habits for life.
Under the guidance of our friendly fitness pros, kids can try everything from junior gym sessions and racquet fun to disco sport, football skills and more.
With over 50 classes a week, there’s something for every little mover. Many sessions also sneak in fun learning about why staying active is great for both body and mind.
Life Leisure Kids members get unlimited access to Kids classes, free public swimming at our five pools across Stockport*, and discounts on birthday parties for just £17.50 per month!
If you’re a member yourself, you can even add your child onto your membership for just £10.50 per month*. Saving money and getting active together = win win.

We run holiday camps throughout the year for children aged 5 – 12 years.
Our fully qualified coaches will deliver a variety of fun and engaging activities each day, making sure your children have the best experience with us.
We’re also proud to participate in the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) and other schemes that enable us to offer free holiday camp places for children aged 5 – 12 on income-based free school meals (FSM) and vulnerable families.
All children can expect to have fun and make new friends in a happy, friendly and safe environment, participating in activities designed to engage them through arts and crafts, multi-sports, music and more!
Swimming holiday courses run every school holiday at four Life Leisure pools across Stockport. Children swim every day, so they build up their confidence quickly.
We offer courses for all abilities, from beginners to stroke improvers, providing all swimmers with the opportunity to progress.
If your child is already on our swimming lesson scheme, badge levels are shown in brackets. Don’t forget, current swimming lesson members also receive 20% discount on all holiday courses!
Every child between the age of 5-12 is welcome to attend our Life Leisure Kids class provision. Monthly memberships are available from £10.50 a month as an add on to adult memberships, or you can book and pay as a non-member. Please note, we do not offer personal care or 1-2-1 support for children, please ensure a parent/carer or support worker is present for the duration of the session if this is needed.
Children can be dropped off at the area the class takes place (studio, gym, sports hall etc), and picked up from there unless notified otherwise by a member of staff.
Our Kids classes are supervised by a Life Leisure member of staff, instructor or coach and do not require you to stay within the class for them to attend*. However, you are more than welcome to stay if you would prefer.

Children should wear appropriate clothing to do some physical activity in and appropriate for the location of the class. Our recommendations would be trainers/pumps, loose fitting clothes to move about in.
Yes. Please make sure your child brings a drink and/or bottle that can be refilled.
Our staff are trained to deal with any situation to make sure that everyone is kept safe and engaged throughout the class. If there are any problems, please speak to a member of staff, to resolve an issue.
All our staff come from different backgrounds, but all have one thing in common which is offering the BEST diverse classes for our Life Leisure community. Our staff are recruited for their attitude, enthusiasm, and dedication to sport and physical activity. Some are fitness instructors, some are coaches, some are youth workers and some work in schools. Naturally they are cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau at the Enhanced Level.
