Regardless of ability or background, there should be no barriers to the benefits of community activity and wellbeing.
At Life Leisure we are working hard to make our centres more inclusive for all.

We’re proud to share that all of our pools are now Water Wellbeing accredited!
The Water Wellbeing scheme, created by Swim England, supports public pool operators in delivering more personalised and inclusive experiences in the water, particularly for people with long-term health conditions.
This accreditation recognises that our facilities meet high standards of accessibility and aquatic quality, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.
The Stockport Active Scheme is Life Leisure’s new access scheme which aims to provide support and access to health and wellbeing facilities. Whether you’re looking to get active, improve your fitness, or simply take steps towards a healthier lifestyle, our Stockport Active membership aims to help people in our community gain access to the facilities to achieve this. Join us and discover the benefits of staying active with Life Leisure!

Our Stockport Active Scheme direct debit membership provides access to the gym, swimming* and group exercise classes at all Life Leisure hubs:
Pricing:
Some families or carers and support workers may be eligible for the Stockport Active Card, which is a Life Leisure membership. This will provide discount to swimming and other activities across Life Leisure hubs. In addition, if you are eligible for a Companion/Carer card, and either have a disability and are in receipt of disability benefit and require support to access the Hub, you can apply for a companion/carer card which is required to set up the casual companion card membership. You will be able to access the gym and pool for free if you are accompanying an individual to a session. (Please note the companion card does not grant free access to classes)
1. Check your eligibility for the Stockport Active Card.
2. Complete any of the relevant information and submit proof if required.
3. Complete our Companion/Carer online form.
4. Once this has been set up we will send you an email confirmation with full details of the membership.
5. Once this is all set up you are able to visit reception and book the activities directly with the team at front of house.
Some people may need a carer or companion to help support them on a 1:1 basis, whether that’s physically or mentally. Having a companion card means that carers can be present during sessions, at no extra cost, to help you engage or take part in activities that you may not have thought possible on your own.
