Live well, love local

At Life Leisure, we really love what we do and the people we do it for. We believe that physical activity can enhance the health and well-being of communities, and we work to positively impact the mental, social and physical good health of local people.

We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) wholly owned by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and work to ensure all residents can access affordable provision within their communities.

Our ‘Purpose’ is simple: “we exist to improve the lives of others”. This drives everything we do at work and is as relevant for our workforce as it is for our customers, and our mission is “to develop a healthier and more active community”.

We enshrine all of this into our strap-line “Live well, live life”

At Life Leisure, we’re big on supporting local and giving as much as we can to the people of Stockport. As part of our efforts, we offer selected local companies an exclusive membership rate, helping us to provide the opportunity for all Stockport residents to get active in whichever way you choose.

So, it’s now even easier to prioritise you and take the steps needed to improve your health, fitness, and overall wellbeing.

Many of us spend hours sitting down each day, so it’s important to ensure we’re giving our physical and mental health some TLC. Here are some of the key advantages regular exercise can have on employees and workplaces:

  • Healthier work force
  • Lower absenteeism
  • Increase in productivity levels
  • Boost morale
  • Happier, healthier work force
  • Reduce stress and anxiety levels
  • Great for mental Health
  • Quality social time
