We host a number of holiday camps throughout the year, suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.

Our fully qualified coaches will deliver a variety of fun and enriching activities each day, making sure your children have the best experience with us.

Life Leisure Kids Holiday Camps

Our Life Leisure Kids holiday camp is perfect for children aged 5 – 12 years. These camps are designed to engage children through arts and crafts, multi-sports, music and more!

Dates:

  • Tuesday 2nd – Friday 5th April (four day week) 
  • Monday 8th – Friday 12th February
  • Tuesday 28th – Friday 31st May (four day week)
  • Monday 3rd – Friday 7th June 

Times: 9.00am – 3.00pm (Late pick-up option available from 3.00pm – 5.30pm for £2.50 per day)

Pricing:

  • £15.00 per child per day or £65.00 for a five day week
  • £12.50 for children on our Life Leisure Kids Membership or £55.00 for a five day week

Funded holiday camp places

We are proud to participate in the Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) and other schemes that enable us to offer free holiday camp places for children aged 5 – 12 on income based free school meals* (FSM) and vulnerable families. *This is different to free meals that infants are entitled to.

There will be various enriching and physical activities on offer each day, a free meal for each child or young person and a safe and welcoming environment for all to enjoy.

Holiday camp details

Times and locations:

We will have limited funded places available on our Kids camps at Brinnington, Avondale and Houldsworth Village.

  • Brinnington funded places are 10.00am – 2.00pm
  • Avondale and Houldsworth funded places are 9.00am – 3pm with the option of a paid late pick up from 3.00pm –  5.30pm for £2.50.

Bookings for HAF funded places must now go through the Councils own booking system called ‘Holiday Activities’. If your child is eligible for a HAF funded holiday place, you will receive this information and their voucher codes via your child’s school. FAQ’S

Is my child eligible for a place?

Life Leisure Kids camps are open to all children aged 5 – 12 and all of our camps are also SEND inclusive.

Funded places are allocated based on eligibility provided by the Department For Education and is not decided by Life Leisure.

Where do the activity camps take place at?

Our holiday activity camps currently take place at Life Leisure Avondale and Houldsworth Village. Funded places are also available at Brinnington Park It is possible camps will also be available at other Life Leisure hubs throughout the year so please keep an eye out on our website for updates.

Where do I drop off/pick up my child from?

There will be posters and banners showing where registration is but also our welcoming staff will be pointing you in the right direction. Registration will be in the same place every day.

What should my child wear?

Each child should wear appropriate clothing to do some physical activity in and appropriate for the weather whether that being sun cream or waterproof jacket also suitable footwear for the day ahead. Our arts and crafts activities and cooking can get messy, and we would rather your child’s best clothes don’t get ruined. Aprons will be provided for cooking.

Do you have drinks breaks?

Yes. Please make sure your child brings plenty of drinks, there will be regular drinks breaks.

Does my child need to bring a packed lunch?

Lunches will only be provided to children and young people receiving a funded place. If your child is not attending on a funded place, then please make sure to send them along with some lunch and plenty to drink.

Who are your staff?

All our staff come from different backgrounds, but all have one thing in common which is offering the best diverse activity camps with diverse opportunities for children and young people. Our staff are recruited for their attitude, enthusiasm, and dedication to caring for children. Some are primary PE leads, some are coaches, some are youth workers, we have play leaders chefs and volunteers. Naturally they are cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau at the Enhanced Level.

How do I know what my child is doing during the day?

Every single day numerous activities are available. If you wish to find out exactly what your child will be doing on that day, please ask the coaches in the morning what options they have available for the day.

Can I get some feedback on my child's day?

Certainly. At the end of each day our staff will be more than happy to talk to you in the collection area and tell you all about how much fun they have had in their group on that day.

What if I want to change my booking?

If you need to change your booking, please contact the hub directly. You can also ask our wonderful coach’s on the day if it’s during the camp and they will take all the necessary steps in helping you.

What can you guarantee me as a Parent/Guardian?

  • Every child day will have a wide variety of games and activities.
  • Children will be well supervised.
  • Children will make new friends.
  • All staff are 100% committed to delivering an enjoyable fun filled week for kids.

What are event days?

Often, we have ‘special guests’ visit us on site, offering children slightly different experiences to what we normally provide.

What if my child is upset by something or someone?

Each coach is trained to deal with any situation that’s put before them to keep everyone safe and engaged throughout the day.

What time should I arrive back for my child?

We would like parents to be arriving five minutes before the end so that it ensures the smooth transition, and the children aren’t waiting around for too long after their day of fun filled activities.
