Our staff have been busy preparing and making important changes as your safety is our highest priority. Some of the changes will be the one-way system around our facility, clearly labelled work out stations, sanitization stations, sanitizer and wipes to wipe down the equipment, limited capacity in some classes to maintain social distancing and increased cleaning hours throughout the centre. Yes, Stockport Sports Village & Houldsworth Village have been deep cleaned ready for reopening.

Yes, we request that all member use the sanitizer sprays and wipes available in the gym to wipe down the machines and equipment they have used.

No. We kindly ask you not to bring a sweat towel to the gym or classes to help limit any risk of the virus spreading and that all members only use the wipes and sanitizer available in the gym and class studios.

Yes, if you have your own exercise mat then please bring it.  If not, we do still have mats available and these will be sanitized before and after each class.

 Yes. Hand sanitizer is available at Reception and at regular points throughout the buildings.

No, you are not required to wear a mask in the centre. If you feel more comfortable wearing one, then please feel free to do so.

No. Please do not wear gloves whilst training. Gloves can harbor a high viral load, with easier transfer to multiple services. Washing your hands with soap and water and using hand sanitizer before, during and after training is far more effective.


If your home club is reopening (phase 1):

As your home club is one of either Stockport Sports Village or Houldsworth Village you will have access to the facilities as from Monday 27th July 2020 enabling access to the gym & studio.

Your direct debit will commence on the 15th August 2020 at a pro-rated amount and your standard monthly collections will resume on the 15th September 2020. 

Full details of your direct debit will be sent to you as an advanced notice of collection.

If your home club is not reopening:

We will keep your membership on a freeze until the following phases have been confirmed.

If you wish to Unfreeze your membership to enable access to lifeLEISURE Stockport Sports Village and lifeLEISURE Houldsworth Village please complete this form and we will activate your membership. 

During your membership account being frozen you are unable to book any activities please reactivate to enable booking. 

Please email memberships@lifeleisure.net stating you wish to cancel and to begin your 30 days written notice period. 

If your home club has reopened, you can freeze your membership until you feel comfortable coming back to our centres. Please fill out this online form to request a membership freeze. 

If your home club is not open, your membership will remain frozen with no charge.

All Paid in Full (PiF) memberships will be extended by the number of days the centre has been closed inline with your obligation date.

Yes. We will be updating our website, social media channels and sending our email communications updating you through every step of our phased reopening process.

If your freeze enables access, yes you can make a booking. If you're freeze doesn't not permit access, then you wont be a to make a booking & will have to fill out this form to reactivate your membership account. 

Your membership will remain frozen until we are able to reopen your home club.

During Phase 1 of our reopening, lifeLEISURE Stockport Sports Village and lifeLEISURE Houldsworth Village will be reopening on Monday 27th July. Full details on what is open within each centre can be found on the individual centre pages.

At the moment we cannot confirm a date for when the other centres are reopening, but please rest assured we are working with the council to ensure we can reopen as soon and as safely as possible. For the time being, you can access facilities at Stockport Sports Village or Houldsworth Village. Details on how to do this can be found on our website here.

Our swimming pools will re-opening during phase 2 of our reopening strategy.

Yes. You can view the updated class timetables for Adults and Kids on the centres pages. Please note during phase 1 this is will only be at Stockport Sports Village & Houldsworth Village

Yes. To adhere to guidelines & centre capacity, the following booking process have been put in place:

lifeLEISURE Stockport Sports Village: gym & studio activities must be pre-book using your online account to guarantee your slot.

lifeLEISURE Houldsworth Village: gym & studio activities must be pre-book to guarantee your slot. Bookings can be made on arrival; however this will be dependent on capacity levels. Pre-booking is advised using your online account.

All bookings are made through your online account. Once you are in your account you can book gym & classes under make a booking.

There will be no holiday camps during Summer 2020.

Yes. There is a maximum capacity we are allowed under the government guidelines to keep our members and staff safe.

If the maximum capacity is reached the online booking system will show as full so please book via your online account before you come to avoid disappointment.

Yes you will be restricted to a 45 minute sessions where we will shut down the area for a full clean after.

Online bookings

Online bookings for Stockport Sports Village and Houldsworth Village will open 06.30am and you will be able to book a class/gym slot up to 7 days in advance. 

If you are having difficulties booking your gym/class online, please email memberships@lifeleisure.net so a member of the team can look into this for you. 

You can book a gym slot and a studio class one after another, however please be aware that you will need to allow us time in between each slot to deep clean our equipment and studio. This may mean you will need to wait outside the facility before being allowed back in to begin your next booking.
