Life Leisure offer a fantastic range of group exercise classes catering for all fitness levels and abilities, such as HIIT, Body Pump, Yoga and Spin. Some classes are more intense than others, but each class can be modified for all abilities with adaptations for exercises given where needed.

Plus, don’t miss our must-try Reformer360 classes! Our own take on the popular reformer Pilates using specialist equipment and experienced coaches to give you a full-body workout like no other.

All classes can be booked up to seven days in advance and we highly recommend doing so where possible to avoid disappointment. Members can book via the Life Leisure app or website.

Come and enjoy our 33m main pool with sessions available for lane swimming, fun swims, general swims and inclusive swims! Our small pool is perfect for little ones and hosts Baby Splash and Toddler Splash sessions as well as free disabled swimming sessions.

Lockers require padlocks to secure your belongings. You can bring your own or purchase one from reception.

Access for carers and support workers

Carers and support workers can access the facility free of charge to accompany an individual to the gym or pool at Life Leisure Cheadle. A leisure key companion/carer card is required to set up a casual companion account to enable bookings.

Gym Equipment

Users may be able to use the StarTrack dual adjustable pulley and StarTrack pull up/chin up/dip assist machine depending on ability.

Equipment for people who cannot leave their wheelchair include:

StarTrac – Lat pull down
StarTrac – Pec fly/rear Delt

Equipment for other for participants who can leave wheelchair include:

Please note, the cardio machines are in the upstairs gym area which can only be accessed via stairs.

If you require any assistance or guidance on how to use the equipment and make the reasonable adjustments, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of the fitness team who would be happy to help.

Swimming

There is a free disability swim session on a Wednesday evening 8.00pm – 8.45pm at Life Leisure Cheadle. Suitable for 11+ years and must be able to swim at least 25m unaided.

Little Cherubs’ crèche is open for your little ones at Life Leisure Cheadle from 9.00am – 12.00pm Monday – Friday.

Little Cherubs crèche is open to children aged six-weeks to eight-years. This service is available to users of Life Leisure facilities. Reservations can be in hub, to check availability please call the hub on 0161 428 3216, payment is required on arrival.
